About the job General Counsel, International Private Equity Fund

The General Counsel will spearhead the legal operations for an investment holding, focusing on international M&A and private equity projects. This executive role demands extensive legal expertise across Russian and British jurisdictions, with a minimum of 15 years of high-level experience, preferably within top 10 international law firms. The CLO will be pivotal in structuring complex international deals and leading legal teams across regions. Proficiency in both Russian and English is mandatory.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee Global Transactions: manage and supervise international M&A and PE transactions, ensuring legal precision and strategic alignment with business goals across diverse jurisdictions.
• Strategic Legal Structuring: craft and execute legal frameworks for international ventures and complex transactions, providing counsel on risk management and legal strategy for cross-border operations.
• Legal Team Leadership: direct and develop the legal teams located in Moscow, Dubai, and Cyprus, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
• Expert Legal Guidance: employ profound knowledge of Russian and British law to address intricate legal issues and maintain compliance with applicable laws in all operating regions.
• Collaborate with external legal advisors to support business objectives.

Qualifications:

• Education and Certification: a law degree from a reputable institution; additional qualifications in international law preferred.
• Experience: 15 years of legal experience, with a focus on international M&A transactions and private equity projects.
• Experience with Top 10 International Law Firms is required
• International Expertise: Extensive experience in structuring international projects and handling complex transactions.
• Legal Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of both Russian and English law.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse and geographically dispersed legal team.
• Language: Fluency in both Russian and English, with exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
