CFO for a venture capital fund

We are looking for a professional group CFO for a family of venture funds. The position will offer applicants a chance to work with a dynamic highly experienced venture investment team in a global business environment. The CFO will work directly with the fund’s founder and leadership and will be eligible for a partner’s track.
Funds team is based in the United States, but this position is open and available to remote candidates. Candidates based in Europe should be available to work at least until 12 noon Pacific Time. An ideal candidate lives outside of Russia or is in the process of relocating. The firm does not sponsor work US visa applications for this position initially, but a successful candidate may be eligible for US visa sponsorship in 12 months.

Key responsibilities:
  • Day-to-day administration of the funds, SPVs and other group entities: day-to-day supervision of the work of fund administrators, lawyers, consultants, tax advisors, other corporate and professional service providers
  • Implementing best-in-class compliance, accounting, reporting, control and planning functions across all group entities
  • Playing an active role in the design, development, and operation of internal and customer facing fintech products and other corporate systems, and related business processes
  • Communication with investors and portfolio companies
  • Investor reporting
  • Investment execution support
  • Oversight of tax compliance and reporting
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualification requirements:
  • Strong analytical and quantitative/technical skills
  • Profound understanding of US GAAP and IFRS. A good grasp of US securities and tax laws is a major plus but not a requirement
  • Ability to work in a team, proven leadership qualities, strong organizational ability
  • Fluent spoken and written English and Russian
  • Undergraduate degree in business, engineering, or computer science (MBA, CPA or ACCA a plus but not required)
  • At least 4-5 years of relevant experience as a CFO in an international setting or a finance professional: Big 4 (CFO services, international audit or similar divisions), venture capital, private equity or investment banking
  • Passion for finance, technology, and investment
  • Advanced tech user
