The Chief Transformation Officer (CTRO) is responsible for defining and executing enterprise transformation strategy, ensuring that technology, digital innovation, operational excellence, and organizational change become key drivers of sustainable business growth, customer value, and competitive advantage. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the CTRO leads the Bank's transformation agenda by aligning strategic initiatives, modernizing business capabilities, accelerating digital innovation, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.
The CTRO provides executive leadership over the Bank's Technology, Software Engineering, Transformation Delivery, and Strategic Project Management functions, ensuring that transformation initiatives are effectively governed, prioritized, and executed to deliver measurable business outcomes. Working closely with Executive Management and
business leaders, the CTRO translates the Bank's strategic objectives into integrated transformation programs while maintaining the highest standards of governance, operational resilience, innovation, and execution excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Transformation Strategy & Leadership
  • Develop and execute the Bank's enterprise transformation strategy aligned with long-term business objectives.
  • Lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives across technology, operations, digital banking, customer experience, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Drive strategic modernization of the Bank's operating model, business capabilities, and technology landscape.
  • Advise the Executive Leadership Team on transformation priorities, emerging technologies, industry trends, and innovation opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, agility, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Transformation Portfolio Management
  • Establish governance for the Bank's transformation portfolio.
  • Prioritize strategic initiatives based on business value, customer impact, risk, and organizational capacity.
  • Ensure alignment across transformation programs, projects, and technology initiatives.
  • Monitor transformation progress, benefits realization, and strategic outcomes.
  • Identify and remove organizational barriers affecting transformation delivery.
Technology & Digital Leadership
  • Provide strategic oversight of Technology, Software Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Digital Delivery, and Technology Operations.
  • Ensure technology capabilities support the Bank's long-term business strategy and digital ambitions.
  • Drive modernization of platforms, applications, infrastructure, and engineering capabilities.
  • Promote adoption of modern technologies including cloud, APIs, automation, AI, and data-driven solutions.
  • Ensure technology investments generate measurable business value.
Project, Program & Change Delivery
  • Lead the Bank's Project Management Office (PMO) and enterprise program management framework.
  • Establish project governance, portfolio reporting, delivery standards, and execution methodologies.
  • Ensure strategic initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Promote Agile, Lean, and hybrid delivery methodologies where appropriate.
  • Drive organizational change management and adoption of transformation initiatives.
Business Process & Operational Excellence
  • Lead initiatives that simplify, digitize, and optimize business processes.
  • Improve operational efficiency through automation and process redesign.
  • Promote customer-centric operating models and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ensure transformation initiatives deliver measurable improvements in productivity, quality, and customerexperience.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
  • Identify emerging technologies and industry innovations that strengthen the Bank's competitive position.
  • Promote experimentation, innovation, and rapid delivery of new business capabilities.
  • Build organizational capabilities supporting continuous transformation.
  • Encourage data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Qualifications
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Digital Transformation,Finance, or a related field.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Digital Business, Product Management, or Innovation is considered an advantage.
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in banking, financial services, consulting, or technology.
  • Significant executive leadership experience driving enterprise transformation.
  • Proven success leading large-scale digital transformation and organizational change initiatives.
  • Experience overseeing technology, software engineering, project delivery, and business transformation functions.
  • Strong understanding of banking operations, digital banking, technology strategy, enterprise architecture, and transformation governance.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional organizations and enterprise-wide change.
